Victor is a professional in Finance and International Relations from Universidad Externado de Colombia, with a postgraduate degree in Capital Markets from Universidad de La Sabana, a Master in Global Business Administration from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, and an Executive MBA from EADA Business School.

He has been a professor at the USMA Panama Business School. His work experience includes working in the commercial and treasury areas at ICAP plc and Grupo Aval.

Since joining Grupo Bancolombia in 2005, he has held different management positions in Colombia, El Salvador, and Panamá in the commercial, project, strategy, finance, and international banking areas.

Mr. Villaquirán is a member of the board of directors of ABP. Since 2014 he assumed the General Manager position of Bancolombia (Panama) S.A. and Bancolombia Cayman Islands.
