Civil Engineer from Escuela de Ingeniería de Antioquia. He coursed the Senior Management and Strategic Leadership course at the Universidad de los Andes and specialized in Finance at EAFIT University.

He has been linked to the Colombian capital market since 1994, occupying different roles in Compañía Suramericana de Valores, Corfinsura, Conavi and Grupo Bancolombia. Since 2019 he has served as Vice President of Investment Management at Grupo Bancolombia, and in 2022 he was appointed President of Valores Bancolombia.
