Alejandro’s mission is to lead the strategies of the Human Resources, Compliance, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) areas, as well as the Corporate Functions environment, ensuring high standards of organizational culture. He is also responsible for the formulation and implementation of the Sustainability strategy and for the strategic leadership of the Bancolombia Foundation.

He holds a degree in Business Administration from EAFIT University, a specialization in Economics from Universidad de los Andes, and a Master’s degree in Marketing Management and Direction from the University of Barcelona. He has completed the Senior Management Program at IE Business School and the Global CEO Program, jointly developed by IESE Business School and MIT, with international training in Singapore, Boston, and Barcelona.

He has been with the Group since 2002, where he has held positions including Director of Strategic Alliances at Bancolombia, Vice President of Private Banking at Bancolombia, President of the Sufi business line, and Vice President of Mobility Leasing, Rent, and Use at Bancolombia.

He was appointed Corporate Vice President in 2026.

He is not a PEP under Colombian regulations.
He is a member of the Board of Directors of some subordinates.
