The building that houses Bancolombia’s main offices in Medellín was the winner of Interior Design magazine’s Best of Year Awards 2009, in the category of offices larger than 50,000 sq.ft. Bancolombia’s headquarters is one of the most modern office constructions in Latin America and the largest corporate building in Colombia.

Bancolombia’s Investment Banking subsidiary receives award
Latin Finance magazine named Banca de Inversión Bancolombia “Best Local Investment Bank” in Colombia in 2009. This is the third consecutive year that the company has received this recognition. Banca de Inversión Bancolombia has been the only investment bank in Colombia to ever receive this award.

Bancolombia, recognized among the best companies for leaders in Latin America.
Fortune magazine and Hewitt Associates conducted one of the most extensive studies regarding practices of leadership in Latin America as they analyzed more than 100 companies across the region. Bancolombia was recognized as one of the best companies for leaders in Latin America. The judges took into account key performance aspects of the leaders within the companies being evaluated, such as their possibility to impact the communities where the company has influence, the performance of the business, and the company’s reputation.

SPSS, a company that supplies tools for data mining and predictive analysis, presented Bancolombia the Insight Award 2009. SPSS gives this award to their clients all over the world who stand out for implementing successful methodologies for the use of SPSS products. Bancolombia has implemented methodologies for the use of products for the detection of clients with unusual operations and new types of money laundering.

Bancolombia is recognized for its contribution to education through the creation of learning spaces at the Explora Park in Medellín
Several companies, including Bancolombia, were honored for their contribution to the creation of interactive learning rooms, an aquarium, an auditorium with digital cinema, and an information center about science and technology, among others, at the Explora Park in Medellín. During the event, the importance of providing the city with spaces for scientific and technological education accessible to all members of the community was exalted.

Bancolombia is recognized as one of the companies with better corporate reputation in Colombia
For second consecutive year, Bancolombia makes the list of companies with best reputation in Colombia and is leader in the financial sector category. The study was conducted by Merco (Monitor Empresarial de Reputación Corporativa). Bancolombia again occupied the second place in the ranking of local companies with best reputation, while our CEO, Jorge Londoño, was recognized as the second leader with best reputation in Colombia.

Euromoney magazine, gave Bancolombia the award for “Best Corporate Governance” in Colombia, based on the results of the fourth annual survey of the Best Managed Companies in Latin America. Additionally, Bancolombia occupied the second place in the category “Best managed Banking and Finance company” and the third place in “Most useful and informative website”.
